Reflectance Measurements

Relative measurement to quantify the fraction of incident light that is reflected from the surface.

· Specular reflectance is measured at an angle equal to the angle of incidence and is dominant for shiny, mirror-like surfaces.

· Diffuse reflectance is measured by collecting the light scattered in all directions, except at the specular angle.

· Total reflectance includes both components.
